"It may sound cliché, but the people I work with are an extension of my family. I firmly believe that empathy can go a long way with employees so I take time to listen, understand and provide advice both professionally and personally. I value our employees above all else and find a family-based approach to develop and maintain a loyal team in order to be successful. I feel very fortunate to love what I do and have a fantastic, loyal support network."
"I came to Love Joes in 2002 to cover maternity leave and never left! During this time I have worked my way through the business and there isn't a department I haven't worked with or in. Day to day I co-ordinate the activities of the Love Joes team and work with our suppliers to ensure we obtain the best pricing and service for our customers. I love the challenge of meeting customers' needs and our own resources to ensure every customer receives the support they need and their orders on time."
"With over 30 years' experience in Sales, Customer Service and Account Management I bring the energy, professionalism and set high standard for the organisation. We are a dedicated, professional and experienced team with the goal that each and every one of us strives towards excellence, which enables us to provide the best level of service for each and every one of our customers."
"People ask me why I still work for Love Joe's after joining the business over 20 years ago. It's simple; it's a company that always puts its staff and customers first. I have a wonderful relationship with all my customers and colleagues. We look after our customers and I have seen the company grow enormously whilst keeping the same values - good quality products with a fantastic, personal service."
"I've been at Love Joes since September 2013 and the opportunity is every bit as exciting as I'd hoped it would be! I'm passionate and committed to develop the business of our existing sites, as well as supporting new customers begin their relationship with Love Joes
I like the idea that people do business with people because they choose to, not because they have to and at Love Joes we share our love for good food with you and give the service a customer deserves."
"I began working in pub kitchens when I was 17 and have been an obsessive foodie all my life. I challenge myself to make a dish I've never made before once a fortnight which helps keep my knowledge fresh and my family guessing!
I joined Joe and Doulla's team in 2008 and after I recently spent a couple of years with another foodservice company as an Account Manager, I'm delighted to be back home.
I love the food we sell and I love to work with my customers to make sure that the right solutions are available to them as well as ensuring they get exactly what they need - in both commercial and culinary terms!"
"Catering has been an integral part of my life and I have always had a passion for food. My father is an accredited chef and he has brought me up to have the same enthusiasm he has for food. I went to college where I studied catering and then spent five years working in various kitchens, from pubs to Michelin star restaurants. This has allowed me to experience a world of different ingredients and flavours.
After a few years in the sales industry I was delighted to join the Love Joes team as a development chef. The business is family oriented and I have been made to feel part of this extended family.
I believe in integrity, reliability, staying positive and having good communication between a team and I try to bring this into my everyday life at Love Joes."
"When I was presented with the opportunity to join the sales team, I jumped at the chance. I now look after a wide range of customers from different sectors and I thoroughly enjoy what I do. No two days are the same, which helps me approach my work with enthusiasm and take pleasure from seeing customers' profits grow because of my ideas.
I get great satisfaction from what I do, meeting new people having the opportunity to see the country and work in some very iconic locations. I am a natural foodie and love nothing more than to pop to the street food markets in central London for some inspiration! The vibrant smells and textures I experience can only improve my knowledge of food even further and talking to cooks helps me get a feel for where their inspirations come from."
"I am a reliable, conscientious and hardworking person who enjoys working on my own initiative as well as part of a team and bring over 30 years' experience gained in the catering trade and food sales sectors. I have excellent communication skills at all levels, with a good sense of humour and a passion for all things food related.
Love Joes offers the whole package - not just great food but POS, marketing support and of course me! I'm always on hand to lead taster sessions and make sure we provide the right products for your site."
"Even though I have been with Love Joes since 2009, I never stop learning about my customers and our ever changing industry. I truly believe in the excellent quality of the products we take to our customer whether it's exciting new flavours or new twists on old classics."
"Years in kitchens have provided me with a great grounding to my career with Love Joes. I understand how important it is to have quality, consistency and value in your kitchen and I firmly believe that the Love Joes portfolio provides that. My customers trust my judgement and because of that trust I'll never let them down."
"I have worked at Love Joes since 2012 in many departments, with the aim of doing what I do now... Sales. Every day is different but ultimately every day is the same in that I always offer consistent, friendly service with a smile. I count myself lucky to enjoy what I do and love meeting new customers."
"I have a logistics background and I have learnt that the friendly spirit from this family company is what makes it special. Performance is key but a positive working environment promotes productivity. I am constantly looking at processes and procedures to see how they can be improved and made more efficient by taking advantage of the latest technologies."
"I started to work for Joe and Doulla over 20 years ago, with the intention to earn enough to buy a new washing machine... four washing machines later, I'm still here! I've seen the company grow at a phenomenal rate and the Production Area has had to keep up. I now manage 60 people with 6 different production processes but we all share the same goal... to provide our customers with the best product possible."
"I am a prime example of how to work your way up through the ranks. I started at Love Joes as a Production Operative and have progressed through hard work and determination to become HACCP and Production Manager. The market is ever changing and with the support of my team here at Love Joes we have achieved and retained a BRC grade AA - something I am very proud of."
"It is vital that our team has up-to-date industry and product knowledge. When our customers need help, I am on the front line and my role is to give the best advice so our customers give the best service to their customers. Every contact we have with a customer influences whether or not they'll come back. We have to be great every time."
"I may officially have started work for the company in 2010 but I have in fact, worked for the family business since I was a child. I have fond memories of spending every school holiday at our "2nd home"! I truly believe one of the greatest gifts my parents have given me is a strong work ethic, a high level of integrity and a passion for the business from an early age.
I have enjoyed working in various departments over the years and am now part of the Marketing Team which has been a natural progression for me. I know that communication is the key to our success whether it's to launch a new product, improving our existing products or even bringing all the departments together to drive the business forward. The best part of my job is to inspire great creativity, high optimism and a big dose of fun in the company."
"I started in 2007 in production and then progressed to loading, where I worked my way up to Loading Manager. I'm responsible for making sure our products are kept at the highest standard whether they are in storage or on the way to you. Although we haven't met we know what you like to order and when you like it to be delivered so we are the first point of call when there's a problem and the last before it comes to you and I make sure that we take pride in our customer satisfaction on both ends.
The business has embraced me like family and I feel that my opinion matters here. It doesn't matter how much work there is, the MDs are here to help if needed."
"I have been involved in transport since 1991 so have a lot of experience behind me. Our fleet started out with just five vehicles and we now run a successful fleet of 30. I run the day to day transport for the company including: route planning, breakdown and recoveries, customer requests and management of drivers.
I like to think I have old school values and ethics and will do any task given to me. I came to Love Joes because of the passion, drive and vision of the company. We pride ourselves in excellent customer service and it's an honour to be a part of the team. There is a lot of drama and pressure and no two days are the same but I wouldn't have it any other way."
"My favourite weapons are a calculator and a ruler. As an accountant I have to keep hold of the company purse strings whilst making sure that our finances run efficiently. On a daily basis I keep my colleagues in the loop with business operations that include revenue and expenditure trends, financial commitments and our future revenue expectations. Some might say it's the boring stuff but I say it's the important stuff!"
"Growing up in the family business has taught me valuable life and business lessons. I am dedicated to the company which has now become an extension of my family. It's such a friendly place with people who care but most importantly work well as a team.
My day to day tasks include payroll, bank transfers and book keeping. Although I am often found with my head under a pile of paper, I wouldn't have it any other way."
